If you are harboring thoughts of bringing the family for a Las Vegas vacation, then perhaps you should seriously consider a stay at Excalibur Hotel and Casino. This hotel will have you feeling as though you’ve stepped into the fairy tales of your childhood. From the moment you cross the threshold from the outside world to the charmed existence of life in the hotel you will find that you have truly been charmed and are leading a somewhat enchanted existence.

Not only is there the magnificent casino to enjoy, there is also the wonderful pool, links golf, the castle walk for your shopping pleasure, and the midway where you can play all kinds of fun and exciting arcade and carnival games. Perhaps one of the most memorable and impressive of offerings is the Tournament of Kings dinner show. This show is offered nightly at 6:00 and 8:30 and you will eat in the manner of those in medieval times, without utensils while watching the evil wizard Mordred as he invades the evening festivities. This show is quite enjoyable and relies heavily upon audience participation.

Dining in the hotel and casino can be quite the adventure without the assistance of horses and actors as there are several dining options including the Roundtable Buffet, The Steakhouse at Camelot, Regale Italian Eatery, Sherwood Forest Cafe, and how could we forget Sir Galahad’s Pub and Prime Rib House?

If you’re looking for the fairytale wedding of your dreams, then Excalibur has the package for you. You can even elect to rent medieval costumes in which to get married. There are many different packages available to fit various budgets and wedding needs. Wedding packages vary in price from around $400 plus $55 for the cost of the minister to around $1575 plus the cost of the minister. These are all rather basic packages and do not include extras such as costume rentals, extra poses for the wedding photos, or video and candle services.

Before your big day make sure you make liberal use of the spa services available at Excalibur Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Of course this is a great idea even if you are just hoping to relax while on vacation. You remember relaxation right? That is what you did on occasion before you had children. You should definitely get the royal treatment that is available through the spa and enjoy every minute of your visit. Some of the spa services offered at Excalibur include: facials, wraps, Aveda facials, and various massages. There are add on services that can be purchased and packages available. This is a great way to spend an hour or three before your big day or any day.

Once you’ve finished getting pampered at the spa, step on over to Kristina’s Salon and get primped. You can enjoy everything from manicures to full service hair styling services. Whether you are preparing for your big day and saying “I do!” or simply for a romantic evening on the strip this is a great place to begin.

Excalibur also offers full service catering and convention services. Whether you are hosting a wedding reception or a company convention we have the facilities as well as the expertise to keep everything operating seamlessly behind the scenes so that all eyes will be on the things that are important. Projections and profits for the corporate conventions and the bride and groom for wedding receptions.

Excalibur Hotel Casino can meet almost any lodging and accommodation needs for those staying and playing in Las Vegas, more than that we can provide a great ‘fairy tale’ atmosphere for your family vacation or just your big trip in general. If you haven’t given proper consideration to the idea of staying here during your visit, I highly encourage that you do-especially if you have a little princess in your party that you are trying to impress.

When you book your hotel, what is the main thing that you consider? Initially it is likely to be the general location. Then perhaps you will narrow it down by the major facilities that you require such as a pool, and then by price. Thinking about location is important, but very often people can become a little obsessive about the specific vicinity or proximity to key amenities, and this can have a detrimental effect on the price that they end up paying.

It is obvious that a hotel situated right on the beach front will charge a significantly higher rate than one which is half a mile or so back from the beach. Similarly, those situated right in the heart of the city will charge extortionate rates compared to those on the outskirts. Yet, this seems slightly strange when you consider that it is highly unlikely that you will actually be spending much time in the hotel staring out of the window and enjoying the expensive view. It is far more likely that you will be leaving the hotel as soon as you possibly can to be part of the view you would have been admiring.

If you have a hotel which is a couple of miles from the beach then, unless you enjoy a good long walk each day, you will probably end up using some kind of transport – either buses or taxis. It could be that the reduced price of the hotel compared to one which is nearer the beach will be compensated by the price you need to pay for the transport, and this could result in no net gain at all.

However, a hotel which is only half a mile or a mile away will mean that you will not really need to use transport to get to the beach, since you can easily walk. But you will also have saved a massive amount of money compared to the beach front hotels. Striking a careful balance between being right next to where you want to visit, and being too far away will give you the optimum location to allow you to strike a balance between convenience and expense.

The hotel itself may give you a description which is not altogether helpful when judging its location. It may well declare that it has beach views, yet a hotel six miles away on top of a hill could claim just as much. You can telephone a hotel to ask specifically how far they are from the beach or other tourist attractions. A more accurate way of doing this however would be to use something along the lines of either Google Earth or other online mapping system, which will allow you to identify the exact location of the hotel. It will also allow you to identify exactly how far it is from certain other locations, and even print out a map to show you how to reach those locations.

This might all seem a little petty, but if you can save $10 to $15 a night on your hotel trip, then you could consider that you will be getting the equivalent of free drinks each evening with dinner. If given that incentive, regardless of price, you would probably have no second thoughts about booking that particular hotel!

Many people don’t seem to give any consideration at all, when booking their holiday, to any kind of alternative accommodation to a hotel. Often, if you visit travel agents, 99% of all the holidays you see advertised will include a stay at a hotel. Certainly the luxury of a hotel is enticing, but it is all too easy to imagine that hotels are the be all and end all of a holiday, and that to select any alternative would be to lose out on the holiday experience.

In fact nothing could be farther from the truth. There are plenty of alternatives to staying in a hotel, almost all of which are far cheaper, leaving you more of your hard earned money to enjoy shopping, eating out and having a drink. Many of the alternatives also give you much more of an experience as far as the local culture and opportunities are concerned.

Let’s have a look at the types of accommodation on offer, and what they have to add to your holiday experience. The most comfortable alternative as far as traditional hotel-stayers are concerned is the rental of an apartment, either on a timeshare basis or other arrangement. Clearly you will need to do all your own cooking and tidying, but you will also benefit from complete peace and privacy. The whole house will be yours, and very likely you’ll have either your own pool and garden, or at least one which is shared by only a very few other people.

If renting or owning a timeshared property is not for you, then consider a self catering opportunity. Self catering cottages and houses come in all shapes and sizes, and there is certainly likely to be one which suits not only your taste, but also your pocket. These are much cheaper than hotels, and again will provide you with privacy, peace and often an outdoor space of your own too. You’ll need to do your own cooking and tidying, although the money saved by not going to a hotel will be more than enough to allow you to eat out far more often. This will also give you a greater experience of the local culture and surroundings.

Rather than eating at the hotel each night, you can choose whether to eat at a quaint local pub, or a posh city restaurant, or just curl up at home with your family and have a cozy meal together. The choice will be yours.

If the idea of being responsible for your own meals doesn’t appeal, then perhaps a Bed and Breakfast place will be more to your liking. These usually charge on a per night basis, and will be very much cheaper than a hotel, with breakfast included. Although they are advertised as just offering breakfast, very often dinner will be available as an option, and again will be much cheaper than the hotel’s food, or eating out. Often the quality is excellent, and the food home cooked.

For a real experience, why not consider a farm stay? Staying at a farm will be a real change of scene for most people, and will give you a real feel for the country. Very often the food provided will be the freshest you’ll have come across – nothing can beat having your egg for breakfast and seeing the chicken that laid it that morning strutting past your window!

Finally, it’s always worth considering camping, either in a tent, your own caravan, or a rented one. Rented caravans, often called static caravans, are like small cottages and are in no way a rough stay. The advantage of camping is of course the price, with overnight stays being about 10 Pounds. Facilities are usually communal, but the sense of adventure and community spirit have to be experienced at least once to appreciate what you would otherwise be missing!

London has a long history dating back to at least 67 AD when there are definite mentions of a flourishing city existing. It was established by the Romans, but later taken over by the Saxons (when the Romans pulled out) and then by the Normans. It has a history rich in religion and royalty, as well as plagues and destruction.

London is made up of two cities, “The City of London” and “Westminster.” Today, the West End is considered to be the center of London and the East End is a poor industrial area when the working class lives. London is Europe’s largest city and is made up of immigrants from across the globe.

Due to London’s long and rich history, the fact that it is home to a current monarchy and due to the fact that it is a large cosmopolitan city, there are a substantial selection of attractions for visitors to enjoy. There are museums and galleries, parks and palaces, just to mention a few types of the sight-seeing wonders that London has to offer. Begin your trip with a guided tour of the Houses of Parliament. Follow that with a visit to London’s public art collections which are known to be among the best in the world. These can be found in the Tate Modern, the Tate Britain and the National Galleries.

Hampton Court is one of the most stunning attractions in Europe and a trip to London would not be complete without a visit to this site. It was Henry VIII’s original palace and gardens, but it has been improved upon by numerous monarchs. Not as impressive, but also worth visiting are Buckingham Palace and the Tower of London. Westminster Abbey is also stunning.

The medieval inns of the Inns of Court are interesting to see. Within the city, you will find some remaining architectural delights from Victorian London. There are many tours available, but the tour of the City Churches is an excellent choice.

There are many large and beautiful parks in London or a walk or boat ride along the river are a real treat. You can wander through some of the city’s quiet Georgian squares or through what appear to be a collection of villages. London is the place to visit the theater. The high quality and low prices of their shows make it a must.

London has a vast collection of holiday accommodation options. There are many luxurious five star hotels. If that is beyond your budget, it is easy to find cheaper accommodation options in London.

The competition among bed and breakfasts has recently raised their standards and you can find many good quality B&Bs around the city. A rental apartment will allow you more freedom and privacy than a hotel.

You can find luxury apartments with a maid service, to cheaper and smaller apartments. These can be rented for one night, while others may have minimum length stays. Apartments are available throughout the city. Hostels are also common and during the summer months, many universities open their student halls to visitors.

With a history dating back to the beginning of the common era, the Hungarian capital, lying between the two banks of the Danube, offers sights to see until their coming out of your ears.

Many of the hotels in the city will offer some kind of spa facility, however, if you are in a bed and breakfast or lower star hotel, of which there are many wonderful options, you will have the incentive and the opportunity to visit one of the cities baths.

Locals will go to the public baths which will open from 6 a.m. and represent a Budapest institution of a nearly ritual type. For the tourist this is a must do experience if only because of how much it is a part of Budapest culture. There are over 100 thermal springs in the city which pump out around 70 million liters of hot water per day.

The springs inside the city of Budapest range in temperature from 70-170 degrees Fahrenheit; that’s 21-78 degrees centigrade. The factor that defines a spa is its emphasis on medicinal benefits. Therefore, whilst they will often been categorized together, a spa and a lido are very different as the former is concerned primarily with mineral water and its healing properties whilst the later is traditionally a place of relaxation and fun, not necessarily with a physically healing element.

The Romans were attracted primarily by the pleasant experience of the bathing and they were the first to build baths here, the remains of which can still be seen today in the north of the city. Whilst the Turkish ruled the area between the mid sixteenth century and the late seventeenth century, the springs were utilized again for the double purpose of bathing and healing. During these years new baths were built and it is in some of these baths that modern visitors can still enjoy the benefits that the Turks did.

It wasn’t until the twentieth century however that Budapest was officially dubbed the “City of Spas” after the spurt of development of the springs in the 1920s. This is a title that the city still proudly wears. Today you will find older people than younger in the baths. The youngsters show a preference for the lidos of the city over the medicinal hot spring bathes.

Absolute must sees for the visitor to Budapest are the two oldest baths in the city. The Kirly Thermal Baths are housed in a building dating almost exclusively to the Turkish period, whilst the Ruda Medicinal Baths date from the same period and features a wonderful octagonal pool lighted by a 30-foot in diameter capola. Both baths have separate sessions for men and women bathers.

Berlin, the capital of Germany, is a city that is rich in history, despite the fact that a large proportion of the city was destroyed during World War II. Most of the city has been rebuilt, restored and rejuvenated since that time and it is now a wonderful place to view old and new side by side.

Berlin had been divided for over 28 years by the Berlin Wall. When the wall came down in 1989, it was a leap forward for the city. You can see countless attractions and landmarks throughout East and West Berlin. Besides for the history that can be found there, Berlin is a vibrant cosmopolitan city today with a lively nightlife, bars, dancing floors and a number of underground clubs.

When you are visiting Berlin, make sure to spend some time at Brandenburg Gate, the Holocaust Memorial, the Jewish Museum and the Keiser-Wilhelm Memorial. There are sections of the Berlin Wall that are still standing and you should definitely have a look at part of it. The most famous part of the wall is known as Checkpoint Charlie. Other popular tourist attractions in Berlin include the Fernsehturm Television Tower, which is the tallest structure in the city and which includes a revolving restaurant at its top, Potsdamer Platz, which is one of the busiest squares in Europe and contains many shops, bars, cafes and places of entertainment, and the Reichstag, which is the old German parliament building. The Reichstag has a large glass dome that was constructed on top of it that you can enter. It affords you a stunning view of the city.

If you are looking for culture, Berlin is home to many museums and galleries. Museum Island is a complex of five museums and the Egyptian Museum contains many artifacts, dating as far back as 6,000 years. Art galleries in the city house the sculptures and paintings of famous artists such as Van Gogh, Picasso and Cezanne. There are many other architecturally beautiful buildings and places of fascinating historical interest throughout the city. You can view some surviving medieval buildings, as well as ultra-modern glass and steel buildings. You are able to purchase a 3-day ‘welcome card’ at tourist offices, ticket offices and some hotels. This will provide you with up to 50% discounts on museum and other attraction entry, as well as free inner city transport on the bus and train networks.

Berlin is full of holiday accommodation options. There are many hotels in the city and it is possible to find fairly cheap prices, even if you are looking at the five star category of hotel. Most of the better hotels can be found in the Western part of Berlin the section that was once East Berlin does not have the same standard of hotels or of other tourist facilities. If you are a member, you can stay at a youth hostel or if you not a member, you can stay at a regular hostel. These are among the cheapest accommodation options in the city. It is also possible to find private bed and breakfasts or boarding houses.

Vienna is the capital city of Austria, situated on the banks of the Danube. Its historic city center was recently included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Vienna was once home to Habsburg Empire. The Empire is long gone, but Vienna remains rich in Imperial history and there are many historic attractions to be seen throughout the city. You can find a number of narrow medieval alleyways, cobbled lanes and imperial squares.

Many ancient monuments can be found throughout the city. The Schonbrunn Palace and the Imperial Palace (Hofburg) are a treat to behold. The Imperial Treasury is a must see when you visit Vienna. The Imperial Furniture Collection is also a popular stop for visitors to the city. If you walk along the Ring Boulevard you will find examples of stunning majestic architecture.

Make sure to visit the Stephansplatz in the heart of the city where you can see the cathedral’s tall spire. You are able to climb to the top of the spire and despite the effort, it is well worth the stunning view of the whole of Vienna and some of its countryside that you will be rewarded from the top. Parliament and the aquarium zoo are other sites that may interest tourists to Vienna.

Besides for its rich history, Vienna is a city that is full cultural interest. From museums to art galleries, music to festivals, Vienna has enough to keep any tourist occupied. It contains the Museum of Fine Arts which is among the world’s largest art museums. Vienna was home to Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert and Johann Strauss. Today, it boasts the Wiener Philharmoniker which is one of the world’s best orchestras, as well as the Vienna Boys’ Choir and the Vienna Conservatorium. It hosts many classic theaters, film and dance festivals, operas, exhibitions and concerts. There are many museums and cultural institutions located in the Museum District.

You are able to see Vienna on one of its many sightseeing tours. These can be done by bus, by foot or in a hackney carriage. You can also get around the city by hiring a bicycle, by tram or by train. If you enjoy a bit of quiet relaxation, you can take a slow riverboat along the Danube. The Wiener Tiergarten contains many hikes and wildlife and it is a fun place to relax.

There are a variety of accommodation options in Vienna and tourists should be able to find accommodation to fit any style or budget. You can find beautiful five star luxury hotels and if these are beyond your budget you can choose to stay in a reasonably priced pension or bed and breakfast. Apartment-hotels are a popular choice in Vienna as they provide extra space and privacy with a fully equipped kitchen. Rental apartments are also available, ranging from luxury apartments to smaller cheaper ones.

These are an excellent choice for families or groups or for people who are planning to stay in Vienna for longer than a week. Youth hostels and regular hostels are also available throughout the city.

Paris is a much coveted holiday destination. It is full of traditional, romantic village areas, but also offers all of the wonders and attractions of a modern cosmopolitan city. In Paris, you will find some of the most famous monuments, museums and attractions from around the world. It is certainly a destination that offers something for all visitors.

You can find 150 museums in Paris and almost all of these are worthwhile to visit. They include famous museums such as the Louvre and the Musee d’Orsay. The Louvre draws approximately 5.7 million tourists per year and this is testimony to its amazing collection, which includes pieces such as Leonardo de Vinci’s stunning, “Mona Lisa.” The Musee d’Orsay holds one of the most remarkable Impressionist art collections worldwide.

Another museum that is extremely worthwhile to visit is the Cite des Sciences at de l’Industrie. It is a science museum that boasts extensive hands-on displays.

Besides for Paris’ museums, it is also famous for attractions such as the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe and Center Pompidou. The Eiffel Tower attracts around 6.2 million visitors annually. If you take the lift to the top of the Eiffel Tower you will have a panoramic view over the whole of Paris. The Center Pompidou is a center of modern art, cinemas, concerts and children’s activities and it is also among the most visited sites in Paris.

The Notre Dame Cathedral and the Grande Arche de la Defense should also be on your to-see list. If you are looking for a place to relax, a visit to the fountains in the Tuileries Gardens or the Jardin du Luxembourg, is a treat. A day trip to visit the stunning palace and gardens of Chateau de Versailles will take you out of Paris itself, but if you have the time, it will not leave you disappointed.

Part of the lure to Paris is the contrasts that can be found within the city. Monumental vistas, such as the one from the Louvre to La Defense are juxtaposed with tiny alleyways in the area of Quartier Latin. You can shop in traditional street markets and pedestrian arcades or within the warren of underground commercial complexes that can be found. There is evidence of great aristocratic wealth contrasted with many areas of poverty.

Paris sees vast numbers of tourists to its city every year and as such, it has many holiday accommodation options to choose from. It boasts approximately 75,000 rooms within about 2,000 different hotels. An aparthotel is an excellent choice for families or groups of visitors. This is an apartment that is attached to a hotel. It tends to offer more space and privacy than the hotel, but does not offer all of the amenities that would be available if you stayed in the hotel itself.

If you are traveling on a budget, there are many youth centers that you can choose to stay in. Rental apartments are also available throughout the city and these are an excellent choice for those who are staying for more than a week or who enjoy staying in self-catering accommodation in order to get more of a feel of the city.
